The D’Hondt Method’s proportional-representational formula tends to over-represent the party that wins the highest percent of the vote, and under-represents the smallest parties. It also benefits parties who agree to unite and run a combined candidate list, providing more seats than if the parties agreed to coalition after the election.
5. (SBU) ¿Tiene el sistema algún sesgo?
La fórmula del método D’Hondt de representación proporcional tiende a sobre-representar al partido que gana el mayor porcentaje de votos, e infra-representa a los partidos pequeños. También beneficia a los partidos que se ponen de acuerdo llevando listas de candidatos combinados, proporcionando más escaños que si las partes acordaron una coalición tras las elecciones.
